206 and counting down

I'll add the recipes for these cookbooks later today, but for now just wanted to upload the pics, of these I've made dishes from and blogged about....

an update: I've added a recipe or two...... (click on the recipe title to go to the original post)

....from my own personal collection.

Hot Buttered Rum Cheesecake with Brown Sugar Rum Sauce
from the Betty Crocker Fall Baking 2009 edition.
It was a really good cheesecake. I've come to the conclusion that anything with rum sauce is good.
And cheesecake stands alone, so how could it have failed?

Pat in Pan Pie Crust #1

Pat in Pan Crust #2

Pat in Pan #3

Corned Beef Hash

from the Complete Book of Irish Cooking.

Bourbon BBQ'd Rib-eye steaks and Jalepeno Pepper Creamed Spinach

I love creamed spinach and this is one of the best! I realize that a lot of people would cringe at the thought of creamed spinach, but...it's good.
And the steaks? Mmmmmm.....mmmmmmm good.
These two cookbooks have a lot of good recipes for grilling and outdoor get togethers. I can not ever get rid of these two. I use them often.

  1. I need to cook something from each book I have too. I pretty much make a lot of them but there are a few I have made NOTHING from. Oh the shame.

  4. These books are just great. My husband loves Stubbs BBQ Sauce. The Irish one would be very interesting to me, and I need help with my baking.

Thanks for the comment this morning.
